Having enjoyed (and re-ordered) the Goisot’s red I was looking forward to seeing how ’sister’ would show.
Goisot Bourgogne Blanc Cotes d’Auxerre
“La Gondonne” 2004
Saint-Bris-Le-Vineux,Burgundy, France

100% Chardonnay..and spends
12 months in oak. Very strong aroma of
butterscotch..which decreased with airing..
some honey and flowers as well….
on the palate..very ‘old vine’ feel..
and after checking I was told
30+ year old vines….
so there’s hope for me yet!
A Chablis..chalky-slate style…
and decent acidity….oak not overdone..
